Looked like being a cracking moth night last night, but heavy rain after midnight dampened both the enthusiasm and the the moths moving.
However, a couple of new moths for the year were in the trap, namely, pale prominent, small magpie and common swift. All good to get on the year list, which after an appalling April and May, is now beginning to show signs of picking up. However, convinced I shall not get anywhere near last year's totals as just so far behind on both species and numbers.
