Best moth night this year

Several new species in the trap this morning and, whilst nothing unexpected or outstanding, always good to have an improved haul of macros, whilst a new micro moth for the garden records.
Pugs of 2 species were present, both common pug and mottled pug.

Also, on the macro front: common marbled carpet, pale tussock and rivulet were all new for the year whilst others included rustic shoulder-knot, 3 white ermine, 5 buff ermine, waved umber, 2 poplar hawkmoth.

On the micro front, new for the garden was a cnephasia species, a moth that requires dissection to name to specific species whilst Phtheocroa rusosana, Brown house moth were just new for the year whilst an Emmelina monodactyla was one of many records this year. In all 27 moths of 15 species. Hopefully this increase will continue on a nightly basis.
