A mid morning wander along Hoecroft Lane where a
peacock butterfly was recorded along with
chiffchaffs, yellowhammers and the usual
tits and finches.
Jays argued in the large oaks and several
skylarks sang over the fields.
Photos show blooming
common dog violet (viola riviniana) and
colt's-foot (Tussilago farfara) and some
rooks, flushed from the field as I sauntered past.
