Friday activity

Morning All,
Hope you are all enjoying this fabulous weather. Spent yesterday on another nature trek around our small garden and still getting loads of new species to add to my growing list. orange tip butterflies were new in the garden. Easy to spot as the male has bright orange corners to the wings, no other butterfly shows these. A jay got on to the bird list this morning and several new species of moths in my garden trap. Shall add these to my list soon.

Today's Activity:

It is quite common to go for a walk and come across painted stones placed in woodland so today, how about chose a largish stone from the garden and paint a really good design on to it. Once completed, take it on a walk with you and find somewhere to place it for other people to enjoy. Alternatively, leave it somewhere in the garden to brighten your flower bed before all the colour comes through.
You can add your name to it, paint patterns, or add an animal or an insect painting using a thin brush and thick poster paint.
When I am out for a walk I always enjoy finding these, picking them up and having a look before putting them back. Makes my walk more enjoyable. Have a go and photos of you doing the painting and/or placing it in a special place will be most welcome. jforgham"at" hotmail . com in usual format.
