Yet again, even with cooler temperatures, a great night for trapping in the garden. Carried on potting until 1.15am, as usual listing those that could be immediately identified and fridging those that needed further observation.
New for the year list were: small fan foot, waved black, Hypsopygia glaucinalis, dot moth whilst Dotted fan-foot, Nemapogon cloacella and Blastodacna hellerella were new for the parish records.
All totalled by midday with the final tally being 166 moths of 71 species. It's been quite a weekend and presently feeling a little mothed out. Time for a Sunday roast!
