Busy moth night.

A good night at the moth trap with 19 macros of 7 species and 2 micros taken. A presumed lead coloured drab was a new record for the year whilst a red chestnut was also a new moth for the year. Also, a 2nd nut tree tussock, too.
Common quakers and hebrew characters made up the numbers (8 and 5, respectively) and also 2 small quakers.
An Agonopterix alstromeriana was a new micro for the year whilst a diurnea fagella was a 2nd record.
Edit: now thought to be two clouded drabs!

  1. Hi Jono.
Unfortunately you have two Clouded Drabs :(
    The micro is Agonopterix arenella.

    All the best

  2. Hi,

Yes, two Clouded Drabs I'm afraid.

Your Dark Chestnut is also a much more stunning Red Chestnut.

    Nice catch,

    Bill
