Amazingly plumaged pheasant, but not a lot else.

A wander to the west of the parish yesterday afternoon proved that very little was about. 2 red legged partridges, 2 green woodpeckers, several redwing and regular tit and finches were about it. However, a very confiding and colourful pheasant was discovered. Constantly chirping and trilling to itself it followed me for someway along the footpaths around local deciduous woods. This pheasant is a Reeves pheasant, Symarticus reevsii
Upon my return, a pair of great spotted woodpeckers were in the garden. These are regular visitors so I suspect in a tree hole somewhere nearby. Female shown below.
