A trip to Amwell to get the new year list underway. A red kite over the car at Widford was a fine start (photo 1.) At Amwell all the usual suspects: a display flypast of 7 gadwall, 2 Egyptian geese, the long staying Scaup and smew + 3 more red kites. 5 common buzzards over from the watchpoint and plenty of siskin (photo 2) and long tailed tits (photo 3) in the alders. A good start to the year.
