Barn Owls

I set out this evening to see if I could get any dusk photos of barn owls. Unfortunately, it saw me approaching and promptly disappeared up inside the tree where it resides. I waited until nearly dark when, suddenly, not 1 but 2 emerged. Both flew off to adjoining fields, shame as I had the camera lined up on a branch they occasionally roost on. A superb sunset and calling little grebes who were involved in a spot of night fishing. Finally a photo of a speckled wood butterfly from yesterday.
