Moth night 20.03.12
Last night I carted the generator and trap up to Millennium Wood, running it from 7pm until 10pm. Although not too many species, I did count in excess of 400 moths. 2 new ones for the list were shoulder stripe (2 photos of the striped moth) and chestnut ( 2 photos of the tawny/red moth.) Over 75 small quakers and plenty of common quaker (on hand) and twin spotted quaker (2 dashes on open wing photo) along with several clouded drabs and 2 dozen hebrew characters. All in all a successful 3 hours.
