Glorious walk. 03.02.12
Weather was superb this morning so out and about, walking from Tescos to home via Hadham Hall, Millfield lane and Hoecroft Lane. Excellent light but few birds. 2 little owls were heard, as was great spotted woodpecker. Plenty of fieldfare along with blackbirds, redwing and a solitary mistle thrush and 2 song thrush. A kestrel along Millfield Lane where also 6 black headed gulls. Highlight was 3 bullfinches near Hadham Lodge. In all 30 species recorded. Photos show, from top: 2 of humble Blue Tit in Millennium Wood, moorhen on ice, Hadham Hall view, 2 of skull (suspected fox), arty cow parsley, Hadham Hall from the east, icy puddles
