Barn Owl Pellets 02.02.12

Today I had the pleasure of running a science show in a Harlow Primary school. I had managed to find a good number of both little and barn owl pellets and these were enthusiastically dissected by 15 7 - 9 year olds. The findings can be seen in accompanying photos. Skulls, tibias, clavicles etc were all discovered. Almost all from field mice, with just 2 shrew skulls. The children from Broadfields school were excellent fun, taking their discoveries home with them, much to the chagrin of the parents, I wager!
