Actinic 15W trap set in neglected woodland last night ran from 6.30 to 9.30. Upon emptying a common Quaker and a twin spotted quaker were found, latter being a new species for the year. This addition takes the total for 2016 to 17 macro species and 6 micros.
This twin spotted is a pale form, with the two dots on either wing usually being black, not pale orange as shown here.
