A wander along the Ash Valley and golf club. Only usual birds about, a party of 32 black headed gull headed north at 7.10a.m. Large parties of fieldfare and redwing around the golf course, accompanied by a solitary mistle thrush. Also, 3 green woodpeckers and a single hare on the course. Another noteworthy bird: 2 common buzzards over fields east of the valley.
One moth in last night's trap, a small quaker. Another new species for the garden, 2 photos here.
